We have a team of volunteer Community Ambassadors who have all given their time to help us be out and about in the community more. Book one for your own event.

We have a small but brilliant team of volunteer Community Ambassadors who have all given their time to help us be out and about in the community more!

Our Community Ambassadors are knowledgeable about our work at Katharine House and passionate about why we do it. They are available to attend:

  • community groups, schools and businesses to chat to people about what we do
  • fundraising events to give a talk or to mingle with those attending and spread the word about what we do
  • cheque presentations to say a big thank you and offer a smiley face for a photo
  • community events on our behalf to represent Katharine House.

Please consider making a donation

Although we don’t charge for our Community Ambassadors to attend an event or give a talk, they are a valuable resource to Katharine House Hospice and we truly value the time they give. You may be planning on undertaking fundraising or making a donation to Katharine House Hospice as a result of your request, but if your request is more about information-seeking, please may we suggest you make a donation in return for their time. Suggested donation amounts are:

 

  • ÂŁ55 could cover the daily cost of sourcing and cooking delicious food for one patient in our inpatient unit.
  • ÂŁ78 could fund a visit from one of our Community Nurses to a patient in the comfort of their own home.
  • ÂŁ150 could cover the basic costs of our bereavement team for a day, enabling them to provide expert support to those who are grieving after the loss of someone close.
