Katharine House Hospice chosen as Zurich Community Trust’s local charity partner

2 February 2026

Katharine House Hospice in Banbury has been chosen as a local charity partner for a new three-year partnership with Zurich Community Trust.

The hospice was selected by the employees in Zurich’s Chipping Norton office, for the third time, following two previous partnerships, which began in 2020. Throughout the years, Zurich Community Trust and the staff from the Zurich office based in Chipping Norton have been supporting the hospice through their Charity Challenges programme, volunteering or sourcing items the hospice required for projects twice a year. The hospice has also received over £68,000 in donations and grants from Zurich Community Trust, including funding to support the hospice’s sustainability programmes.

The new three-year partnership includes £60,000 in funding to support core costs for the hospice, plus a further £15,000 to be used for training and wellbeing.

Sue Blank, Corporate Engagement Officer at Katharine House Hospice said, “We are extremely grateful for the ongoing support that Zurich has provided to Katharine House over the years. The hospice simply wouldn’t exist without the generosity of our local businesses and community, so we are very much looking forward to working with the Zurich team during this new partnership.”

Mark Flay, Local Partnership Manager for Zurich Community Trust said: “Charities with a strong local reputation, like Katharine House Hospice, are often chosen because many of our employees know someone who has received outstanding care and support from their team.”
