Katharine House Santa Fun Run returns for 2026

We will be bringing back the much-loved Santa Fun Run event this December 2026.

8 April 2026

The Santa Fun Run event will return to North Oxfordshire Academy on Sunday 6 December and will see individuals, families, businesses and community groups band together to take on the sponsored run.

As in previous years, there will be some Santa suits available, however the hospice is asking participants to be creative and fashion up their own festive outfit in an effort to reduce waste.

The Santa Fun Run started in 2010 and has raised over ÂŁ295,702.84 for the hospice since then. Originally taking place at Spiceball Park in Banbury, until flooding in 2024 meant the charity had to change venues at the last minute.

Stephanie Lawless, Director of Fundraising & Marketing said: “We know that we must continue to organise the larger scale events that are so loved by our local community and supporters. Holding the event at North Oxfordshire Academy, as we did in 2024, showed us that there are ways we could reduce our staff costs and therefore increase the impact the event can have for our patients and their families.

“We continue to rely on the generosity of our community to keep our hospice running, so we are delighted to be able to bring this event back in a way that means the fundraising efforts can make an even bigger difference to the services we offer at the hospice and out in the local area.”
