Shop volunteers

Learn useful retail skills of customer service, till operation and pricing, while meeting new people at one of our seven popular shops.

The role

Our shops are hugely important in raising approximately £1 million a year to fund our services! This wouldn’t be possible without our team of volunteers. The enthusiasm and commitment from our volunteers help sort, clean and display pre-loved goods, generously donated by our supporters.

You will be part of an experienced and welcoming team, working on the shop floor, learning how to operate the till or helping out behind the scenes processing donations and pricing them up.

eBay retail volunteer

We occasionally need volunteers to help our eBay team to turn pre-loved items into vital funds for Katharine House Hospice. While this role is similar to our shop volunteer positions, some basic IT skills are needed.
