Schools partnerships

Become a schools supporter

We believe the best partnerships with schools are formed when we work closely alongside each other over a number of years. Read on to find out  what this could mean for your school and Katharine House Hospice.

At Katharine House, we see the relationships we hold in the community as a two-way process and a long-term commitment. We love getting to know each school and understanding your values, goals, curriculum needs and challenges.

From your perspective, by developing a lasting relationship with Katharine House Hospice, pupils, teachers and the wider school community are able to gain a deeper understanding of our work and the difference you help us make.

Together we can create opportunities that inspire pupils, support your educational priorities, and positively impact the local community.

What makes a successful schools partnership?

Our most engaged and enthusiastic school supporters work with us on a number of levels, including:

  • hosting fundraising events and activities
  • sponsoring activities and events
  • choosing Katharine House Hospice as their Charity of the Year
  • taking part in our organised fundraising events
  • inviting our team to deliver school assemblies or PSHE sessions about hospice care, charity and community.
  • supporting awareness campaigns and promoting our work to families
  • collecting items or resources that support patients and their families
  • providing access to facilities for hospice events.

Find out more about how we could work together on our Ways your school can support Katharine House webpage.
