Essential reading

Below is a list of PDFs to open on your computer to introduce you to your role and life at Katharine House Hospice. We hope you will find them helpful.

Risk assessments

It is important to us that we know you have read and understood the risks associated with your role. Understanding the role-specific risk assessment is essential to meet the requirements of our public liability insurance. If this does not happen and a volunteer is involved in or causes an accident, the charity may be held liable.

Please click on the link below, which will take you to the volunteer risk assessments page. There you will find everything you need to enable you to read and sign the appropriate risk assessment(s).

Read our newsletters

Each six months we publish a volunteer newsletter to keep you up to date with what going on at the hospice and with volunteer opportunities. To see the two most recent editions, please click on the link below.

Policies and other documentation

No charity would be complete without its policies, and Katharine House Hospice is no exception! We’ve brought together all the relevant policies and other reference documents for you into one central point.

Thank you for the time you give to our hospice

We hope that you have found this space useful and that you have everything you need to feel confident and supported in your role as a Katharine House volunteer.

If you have any questions, feedback or need a hand with anything, Jill is here to help.
